Biography and work of 1973 Los Angeles born musician and tireless experimentator, is not less weird than his inspirations and influences that he refers to. He was a self-taught musician, yet at certain point he took up a university course on computer composition and psychoacoustics. Later he decided to go to India to learn how to play tabla. In his compositions we can hear not only noise of musique conrete or minimalism but also pulsating dub or funky groove. Besides remixes, which he produced for Murcof or Alva Noto, he has also processed compositions of a Norwegian Grammy Award Winner - Hanne Hukkelberg.
Sutheks performs continously in galleries, museums and concert halls around the world. He also visits the most interesting and progressive music festivals. This year, Plateaux will join the prestigious list next to Mutek or Sonar festivals, where the American artist will present us his unique live act.
